This couple's engagement session was definitely an interesting one. The location was Dipper Harbour and we made use of the groom's lobster boat. The unique backdrop made for very sweet and personal photos. I am looking forward to their 2016 wedding!

Engagements are always fun to do with my wedding couples. It's beautiful to see the love between them and the smiles that never end. The streets of uptown Saint John provided the perfect backdrop to this adorable session.
I love engagement sessions! They are an amazing opportunity for myself and the couple to get to spend some time together before the wedding day. We have a chance to socialize without the pressure of the day, which helps the couple relax more and simply enjoy the day.
I love it when a couple incorporate elements important to them when planning their wedding and engagement session. A special pet, location you met, where you proposed, the list goes on and on. This couple brought a new element into it...... Their love for Rugby and I instantly loved it once they brought it up, plus they both love St. Martin's. We stopped at a couple of locations including the little know area around the working lighthouse. I can't say enough about how stunning the area around the lighthouse is, I discovered it a few years ago while out with some photographer friends and knew it would be the perfect location for a session. Here are a few of my favourites from the day! To say I was pumped when these fabulous clouds started rolling in is an understatement, though I knew we had to speed up as there was definitely some rain heading our way.
I love engagement sessions where the couple include personal items or in certain environments that are meaningful to them, though this one had a first for me.
This fun couple, St FX. alums Whitney and Korey, the main "prop" was a Dodge Ram 1500...and you can tell they really like their truck! One of Whitney's "musts" on her photo list was 'one with the truck'. We had a lot of fun on a beautiful a Spring afternoon. The weather was perfect, even though we had a bit of snow still on the ground in places but that didn't stop us. I can't wait until their wedding at the Homestead in Fredericton next summer! |
