As a wedding photographer you give up quite a bit of family time in the warmer summer months and it can be challenging sometimes BUT when you get to work with amazing families that treat you like long lost friends it's totally worth it.! Jenna and Mitch reached out to me about a year and a half before their wedding day to discuss my wedding packages and to see some samples of my work and they were so excited to be planning their wedding that I was excited for them! We meet for an engagement session on a very cold windy day but we had a blast getting to know each other a bit more.
Finally! It was wedding day and what a day it was! Everyone and I mean everyone on both sides of their family were amazing and you could tell they were all so happy to be there to help them celebrate their marriage! Check out this incredible wedding day!

What a fun day this was! It started off looking like rain but the rain held off and it was the perfect day for a wedding. The ceremony and reception were both held at the Rothesay Country Club and the decor was beautiful. As a wedding photographer I spend time with the bride and groom before the wedding at various consults/meetings and the engagment session. It really helps us all get to know each other and I must say these two are adorable together, she can't help but smile when he is near and he can't stop looking at her. It's so sweet. Weddings are so very unique and I love it when they really show the couples personalities. This wedding certainly was beautiful and the couple did an amazing job of creating a stunning wedding venue in the family's backyard. The decor was creative and beautiful with a gorgeous little spot for the ceremony. The families were so welcoming and both sides had a wonderful time getting to know each other.
Wedding Day is always exciting but when it's the first one of the season I am beyond happy! I love photographing weddings and truly love meeting the couple's family and friends. This wedding was true to form and a great way to kick off the start of the 2016 wedding season. When a bridesmaid of a past wedding contacted me regarding her upcoming wedding I was extremely excited to see everyone again! The day started out in a stunning little hotel located in the heart of Moncton, NB with the cutest little bar located on the street level. As soon as I saw the bar below I knew it would be the perfect location for the dress! The bride and groom requested to have a First Look session in a very private nature park.
It's no secret that I love to photograph weddings and love how they are all so unique and different. This couple decided to change up the day slightly and had a private moment before the ceremony to see each other for the first time that day. This is called a "First Look" and it's starting to become more popular among many couples.
All wedding days are crazy and emotions can run wild. I have been to a few where not everyone is in sync and there have been a few count to ten moments. This wedding was the complete opposite!
This couple is very blessed to have the support of their amazing families and incredible friends! I was very honoured to be a part of their day! Here are just a few (well maybe more than that) images from the day I love that Canada is such a mixing pot of so many cultures and when they are incorporated into a wedding day it makes my heart sing. This wedding was so beautiful and so very unique! An amazing blend of Scottish and Persian cultures not to mention tons of love and laughter. It was incredible watching the families of the bride and groom meeting and getting to know each other. We started out at the home of the bride, she is simply stunning and once in her gown glowed. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Riverside Golf and Country Club The reception incorporated both cultures beautifully! There was a Persian Wedding Knife Dance, that prior to the cake cutting. It was beautiful to watch! Following cake cutting there was an amazing performance of a Scottish Highland Sword Dance! But the best part of the evening was when the two families joined together and the bride's family welcomed the groom's family onto the dance floor and taught them a persian dance.
I first met this couple over a year before their wedding day and instantly knew this would be a fun wedding. They decided to get married at Bates Barn in Long Point, New Brunswick (Kingston Peninsula) and they couldn't have chosen a more beautiful location, the rustic barn and beautiful river made for a stunning backdrop. But before the ceremony took place the bride and groom requested a few minutes together. Don't worry they couldn't see each other as they stood on different sides of the barn and held hands for a few minutes. We jumped in my car to explore the area around the barn and to have some photos down by the river and while driving around found this beautiful deck. The homeowners waved to us from their window that we could use the deck and we jumped at the opportunity! Bates Barn was decorated beautifully for the reception and the dance that followed.
I have to admit that I have been very fortunate and have had the pleasure of photographing some beautiful weddings. In fact, I would go as far as to say they have all been beautiful, both in locations, decor, clothing, dresses, etc. But when I arrived at the ceremony location for this particular wedding I fell in love!!!! My second shooter usually heads off to meet up with the boys to photograph them getting ready for the ceremony so I usually don't see them until the ceremony. I think my jaw hit the ground when I saw them! I love these outfits! Here are some more images from that day, Enjoy!
